On July 22nd 1939, D.C. Thomson published a new comic, The Magic. The Magic was to run along side their other two publications, the Beano and the Dandy, The Magic Comic the original ceased publication on January 25th 1941 due to the Second World War paper shortage and never returned after. The Magic Comic, because of its short run print (just 80 issues) is demanding very high prices at this moment in time.
The comics below are from a revival in the Magic during the late 1970s.
On January 31st 1976, D.C. Thomson published a second Magic comic, this was aimed at the childrens market. These comics don't command a high price at all, so are probably a comic to start the younger comic collector off!. At the moment it is not certain of the full run amount.
